The Future of Engineered Stone: Our Response to the Ban – FIND OUT MORE
Marble kitchen benchtop resurfacing has gained popularity as a practical and stylish solution for kitchen renovations. The process, which involves installing a thin layer of engineered marble over existing surfaces, provides homeowners with the beauty of natural stone without the expense or hassle of a complete replacement. This method has been trusted by Australian households for its affordability, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
The timeless appeal of marble surfaces has long been appreciated in kitchens. Its natural veining and soft tones bring sophistication to any space. When resurfacing is chosen, homeowners gain access to the elegance of marble while avoiding the challenges of maintaining raw stone.
One of the key benefits of marble kitchen benchtops is their ability to blend with a variety of kitchen designs. Whether modern or traditional, the versatility of marble ensures it complements any aesthetic. Additionally, engineered marble, which is used for resurfacing, offers enhanced durability and resistance to common kitchen wear and tear.
The surfaces are designed to be non-porous, meaning they resist stains and spills, which are frequent in busy kitchens. This feature, combined with the ease of maintenance, makes marble an excellent choice for households seeking practicality alongside beauty.
Engineered marble used in resurfacing is not only beautiful but also highly durable. It has been designed to withstand the rigours of everyday kitchen use. The surface resists scratches, heat, and stains, making it suitable for meal preparation and other activities that occur in busy households.
Thanks to its non-porous nature, the marble surface does not absorb liquids or harbour bacteria. This hygienic quality ensures that the kitchen remains a safe and clean environment for food preparation. For families with children or those who frequently entertain guests, these features are particularly beneficial.
In comparison to traditional marble, which can be prone to etching and staining, resurfaced marble provides an easy-care alternative. Regular cleaning with a damp cloth is sufficient to keep the surface looking pristine. As a result, homeowners can enjoy the look of marble without worrying about extensive upkeep.
There are several reasons to consider resurfacing for your kitchen benchtops:
Most projects are completed within a single day, allowing you to enjoy your new kitchen almost immediately.
Without the need for demolition or removal, the resurfacing process avoids the mess and inconvenience of traditional renovations.
With various finishes and colours available, the design can be tailored to suit your specific preferences.
Non-porous surfaces are easy to clean and resist the build-up of bacteria.
These benefits, combined with the timeless appeal of marble, make resurfacing a practical and stylish choice for any kitchen renovation.
Marble kitchen benchtop resurfacing is carried out with precision to ensure high-quality results. The process begins with a thorough assessment of the existing benchtop. Any surface deemed suitable for resurfacing is cleaned and prepared, ensuring that the new marble layer adheres seamlessly.
A 7mm-thin engineered marble slab is custom-cut to fit the dimensions of the benchtop. The thinness of the material ensures a lightweight yet durable solution that doesn’t add unnecessary bulk. The new surface is securely adhered using advanced bonding techniques, creating a flawless and long-lasting finish.
Unlike traditional renovations, resurfacing does not involve the removal of existing surfaces. This reduces the time, cost, and mess typically associated with kitchen upgrades. Additionally, most installations can be completed within a day, allowing homeowners to enjoy their transformed kitchen without delays.

Yes, Granite Transformation surfaces are heat resistant and not affected by temperatures lower than 180C. Like all stone material, Granite Transformations surfaces can be damaged by sudden and rapid heat changes (this is called thermal shock) so we always recommend that hot pots and pans never be placed directly on a Granite Transformations surface but onto a heat trivet or chopping board.
